Your Initial Consultation

In most cases, your initial consultation will involve taking digital photographs of your nose, which we’ll upload into a computer program that allows us to visualize your potential postoperative appearance, giving you a startlingly accurate idea as to what your results can look like after a given surgery. We’ll also answer any questions you might have, talk you through the aftercare procedure, and generally make sure that you’re ready and confident to enjoy the look you deserve.

What to Expect on the Day of Your Nose Surgery

A rhinoplasty is usually performed as outpatient surgery, meaning you’ll be able to return home the same day. A nose job can be combined with other procedures, most often a chin augmentation with an implant, which we’ll talk over during your consultations.

Combining your procedures can give you the chance to significantly improve the proportion between the chin and nose, both of which strongly affect your profile.

In most cases, surgery is performed under light general anesthesia or IV sedation, and most patients can return to their normal routines within a day or two while taking care to avoid strenuous activities for two weeks.

The Rhinoplasty Procedure

During a rhinoplasty, the cartilage and/or bone structure that gives the nose its shape is modified. The skin is then re-draped over the newly shaped framework, providing the nose its new appearance. The changes can be subtle or dramatic depending on the patient’s needs. Rhinoplasty is often performed in conjunction with other procedures to achieve the most natural facial appearance.
