Ever wanted to ‘Wake Up With Makeup?’
Imagine waking up every day, and NOT having to spend a lot of time on your makeup… Permanent makeup not only saves time but actually LOOKS better than regular makeup. Permanent makeup doesn’t smear, won’t come off, and can last years.
What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic technique that involves tattooing the skin to recreate the look of just-applied lipstick, lip liner, eyebrow pencil, and eyeliner.
The permanent makeup process, called Micropigmentation, is done where permanent ink is injected into the skin, using a tattoo pen. Just like any tattoo, the color appears brighter or darker at first, then fades into a more natural-looking form.
What are the Benefits of Permanent Makeup?
The most obvious benefit of permanent makeup is that it can save time. People with busy schedules, long commutes, and many commitments can cut several minutes out of their morning routine each day. Since permanent makeup doesn’t smudge or fade, there’s no need to spend time reapplying during the day.
Beyond time savings, permanent makeup allows people to wear makeup, who may be unable (individuals with physical disabilities or impaired motor skills) to apply traditional products themselves.
People with hair loss conditions, causing them to lose their eyebrows may invest in permanent eyebrow tattoos.
Permanent makeup can also benefit people with cosmetic allergies, and someone with a lip scar may use permanent lipstick to hide it.
What Areas Can Be Enhanced With Permanent Makeup?
Popular areas of permanent makeup include lip lining/lip color, eye-lining, eyelash enhancement and eyebrows.
Lip Lining/Lip Color:
Lip procedures can either help re-shape lips or enhance the beauty of well-shaped lips. Permanent lip color can correct asymmetry, add definition and fullness, enlarge thin lips and minimize the appearance of large lips.
For a Naturally Youthful You, permanent lip color de-emphasizes age lines around the lips and prevents lipstick from ‘bleeding’ into surrounding areas.
The lips are typically tender for a couple days, and generally take 2 to 3 weeks to heal completely. Once healing is complete, lipstick can be applied.
Eyeliner and Eyelash Enhancement:
Pencil eyeliner and mascara are inconvenient, smears and impossible to use in situations involving water, sweating, crying, rain, or humidity. Permanent eyeliner accentuates and highlights your eyes, without having to reapply.
Typically, procedures involve the upper, the lower or both the upper and lower eyelids. For the first couple days, the area is a bit tender, and take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to heal completely. The results, however, are immediate.
Eyebrow Enhancement (Microblading):
Sometimes referred to as Semi-Permanent Makeup, 3D Embroidery, Hair Simulation Effect or Hair-Stroke Eyebrows, Microblading involves using a special handheld tool to etch ink into the skin, creating a natural-looking eyebrow.
There is no downtime for this procedure. At first, the eyebrows will appear sharp and dark, but within two weeks will fade to the perfect color for a natural look.
