Using the newest technology, Laser skin resurfacing uses an array of high precision micro-beams that initiate the body’s natural healing process. This new technology allows plastic surgeons better control and tremendous precision.
Dr. Garramone uses concentrated pulsating beams of light to eliminate unwanted, damaged skin very precisely. The outer layer of the skin, the epidermis, is removed. The underlying layer, the dermis, is heated. This stimulates the healing process and the development of collagen. The new skin that forms during the healing process is smoother and firmer.
Imperfections That Can be Treated:
- Wrinkles & fine lines.
- Acne and chicken pox scars.
- Uneven skin texture & tone.
- Aged or sun damaged skin.
- Surgical Scars.
What to Expect Before Laser Skin Resurfacing
Prior to the procedure, specific skin care products may be recommended to properly prepare the surface area being treated. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. In some cases, sedation may be used.
What to Expect After Laser Skin Resurfacing
You can expect to experience temporary redness, warmth and swelling after your treatment with laser skin resurfacing, which typically lasts 1 to 2 days. In some cases the healing time may be longer. You cannot apply any lotions or serums to your skin for the first 2 days after your treatment. You may resume your normal activities after this 2-day period. You may apply ice immediately after your treatment. Once you have healed, you may use a green-based makeup may help to hide the redness of your skin.
